Ken Chapman BSc, CEng, MICE

Ken is a Chartered Civil Engineer and Commercial Consultant with more than 35 years overall experience of dealing with construction contracts, providing claims advice, claims avoidance advice, claim and response preparation, and case management. For over 30 years he has represented contractors and sub-contractors, and for 5 years advised the Employer and his NEC Project Managers.

For the last 25 years he has tendered for contracts, drafted and procured contracts, carried out contract and business administration, and provided claims advice, preparation, response, negotiation and resolution. He is familiar with high-value, complex, multi-discipline works, carried out in a safety critical environment, and has procured on a traditional or EPC basis.

He has practiced at forensic research and is able to deal with both quantum matters and the analysis of delay and disruption when producing assessments for compensation events and variations; when preparing claims and final applications; and when providing dispute resolution support for adjudication, mediation, litigation, and arbitration.
